PIROP in application for biometry soft tissue thickness in the periodontium (Gingival Thickness) -
GUM/Gingiva - Periodontal Soft Tissue biometrics.

Non-invasive, modern device for fast and accurate tissue thickness measurements. It allows to measure and monitor of periodontal mucosa thickness in prophylaxis and periodontal treatment.

Identification of a periodontal biotype in patients has a fundamental meaning in optimal planning of preventive and therapeutic management mainly in periodontology, orthodontics, implantology and dental prosthetics.

PIROP user’s interface based on touch screen technology makes operation easy and user-friendly.

“Comparative ultrasound assessment of keratinized gingiva thickness around implants” (Department of Dental Surgery, Silesian Piast Medical University of Wrocław) - this research work has been honoured by 2nd Prize on Poster Competition on 5th International CAMLOG Congress, Valencia, Spain, 26-28 June 2014 - see the link next: PIROP-CAMLOG.

 

EUROPERIO 8 Congressthe world’s largest event for the  periodontology and implant dentistry, took place in June 3-6, 2015, in London, UK. At the conference in the poster session   the results of measurements performed by using the PIROP Echo-Son scanner by a team of scientists: Wojciech Bednarz, Aleksandra Sender-Janeczek and Marek Ziętek were presented. The poster is  entitled  "In vivo repeatability study for gingival thickness measurement using a new ultrasonic system”  - see next to pdf file PIROP-EUROPERIO8.
